Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Southern Health Foundation Trust (SHFT) to appoint an efficient motivated Community Nursery Nurse to work with Eastleigh School Nurse Team, based at Moorgreen Hospital. You will be joining a leading organisation that is both forward thinking and innovative. We are looking for a motivated professional with excellent communication skills who has the ability to work as part of a corporate skill mixed team delivering delegated components of the Healthy Child Programme (DH 2021).
Being part of a skill mixed team you will be required to promote child health and parenting skills for families by participating in planned programmes of care under the supervision of a registered practitioner. You will need to be committed to working to achieve healthy outcomes for children and have an awareness of aspects of safeguarding children whilst being supported by robust organisational supervision, guidelines and policies.
With a positive approach to customer care, and demonstrating excellent communication skills, prioritise your workload and manage your time efficiently.
Excellent IT skills required to record clinical data in the electronic record system.
Applicants must hold an NNEB Diploma or equivalent NVQ Level 3 in Early Years.
Access to a car and a full driving licence with insurance for business use is required.
Main duties of the job
The primary role of the Community Nursery Nurse is to deliver delegated elements of the Healthy Child Programme (DH 2021). The Community Nursery Nurse should ensure the quality of service delivery to children, young people and their families is aligned with the commissioned requirements of the Healthy Child Programme 5-19 years (DH 2021) and the Trust vision and values. This includes working in partnership Education and the Voluntary Sector.
