The Systems Support Team within Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust supports 8000 users of our Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system, RiO and several other patient information systems (PAS) used by clinicians in the Trust. As the Trust is expanding, we are looking for an IT Trainer to join the existing team to support the delivery of IT training.

In this innovative team you will develop expertise in a variety of systems and encounter a wide range of challenges. We offer excellent learning and personal development opportunities. Training is provided in classroom and on the job.

This role is a permanent position within the Southern Health Technology Team and is therefore subject to an initial probationary period as outlined in the Probationary Employment Policy and Procedure 2022. Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will delivery first class training to our operational staff, enabling them to maximise their use of clinical systems and deliver high quality patient care. Providing training alongside digital learning and reference materials, you will also work with Digital Transformation Teams to promote and assist with the use of systems and associated processes.

Strong communication skills are essential, you will also be called upon to work with and build relationships with staff at all levels of clinical, administration and management. The key working relationships within the Trust will be with other Digital colleagues, and your Managers, the Systems Support Team, Teams delivering Trust Projects and most importantly Clinical staff within our operational Teams to support the delivery of excellent patient care.

The successful candidate will have relevant teaching or training experience, along with the ability to produce and implement high quality training materials and digital training along with supporting documentation. Knowledge of data confidentiality and electronic patient care systems is essential, preferable within the NHS.
