Job summary

NHS Talking Therapies Hampshire (italk) is an exciting and transformative psychological therapies service within which to work.

The range of psychologically focused therapies we deliver include:

Step 2: Guided self-help, Psycho-education groups, (guided/unguided) computerised CBT.

Step 3: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Comprehend, Cope and Connect (CCC), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Behavioural Couples Therapy (BCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Counselling for Depression (PCE-CFD).

For this role you would be considered a 'mobile worker' as we operate where our patients need us; this may be at one of our 'hubs', in local community venues or medical sites. You would be nominated a 'base' from which to claim travel and where you would most likely be based for computer-based work.

NHSTT Hampshire operates across three clusters -- East, North and West. We would be grateful if you could state your preference of cluster in your application in the supporting information section. Main duties of the job

We are looking to employ Assistant Psychological Therapists to support our qualified psychological therapists with delivering high quality therapeutic intervention to the population of Hampshire. This will include holding a clinical caseload, supporting patients using online therapy platforms as well as facilitating therapeutic groups, under supervision. You will also have opportunities to be involved in a number of projects and pathways within the service including our Long-Term Conditions pathway depending on where your interests and passions lie, and in line with how you wish to progress your career.

As an Assistant Psychological Therapist you will have regular, direct supervision sessions with an accredited BABCP therapist and you will be given the opportunity to expand your therapy knowledge-base in team reflective practice meetings and peer support groups. As part of this role there may be also be opportunity to be involved in audit/research, dependant on service need.
