Job summary
Southern Health are excited to advertise a fulltime Band 5 MSK clinician role within Lymington team. We are happy to discuss flexible working options and would encourage applications from all MSK health professionals who have a relevant MSK degree level qualification. This includes Physiotherapists, Sports Rehabilitators (course endorsed by BASRaT), Sports Therapists (course endorsed by SST), Chiropractors and Osteopaths.
Applicants should be motivated team players and have a passion for delivering holistic, patient centred care that promotes self management. They will be part of a local team that forms part of the wider MSK service covering several locations within Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. The MSK service in Lymington is set within a modern hospital and offers free staff parking. The team benefit from a comprehensive and newly fitted gym to enhance their patient offer.
Main duties of the job
The MSK service is committed to continued professional development and promoting evidence informed practise to ensure a high standard of care for patients throughout. We are in the process of aligning our education offer to the advanced clinical practice framework. Within this role you will be supported to work towards this at an early opportunity if you wish. The successful candidate will have regular supervisions with their senior. We offer a varied local in-service training programme that is mapped out by the local team to ensure it is bespoke to individual team needs. Our Band 5 staff attend fortnightly facilitated action learning sets to help enhance their learning and their peer support networks within the wider service.
All staff now work with a bespoke job plan that is agreed with their seniors to ensure that appropriate time is allocated within their working week to allow for non-patient facing activities that will enable staff to develop and achieve their objectives.
It should be noted that the Lymington team includes an MSK hub that works out of Fordingbridge Hospital. There may be a requirement within this role to work some of your week within this setting.
