Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Administration & Clerical Assistant to provide a comprehensive administration and clerical service for the West Hants Enteral Nutrition Service. This small team is made up of Dietitians, Support Workers, and Nurses. This post is a varied and interesting position involving maintaining an effective front line administrative service to manage patient contacts and appointments.

Our administrator is a vital role which team underpins the success, efficiency, and effectiveness of the Team. This role would provide a great opportunity to develop your organisational and administration skills within this small friendly department. Responsibilities in this role include supporting the team with lone working, roster management and ordering equipment and stationery.

This role will involve enhanced patient contact with the opportunity to support patients directly with their enteral feeding equipment needs. You would have training in enteral feeding equipment and be able to liaise with the enteral feed company to support patients with deliveries. You would also help with collating clinical patient information.

We are looking for someone that can work well within a team and can also show initiative and work independently. You will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, be organised and possess excellent IT skills. Experience of NHS clinical systems is desirable although programme specific training will be provided.

Main duties of the job

*To provide administrative support to the West Hampshire Enteral Nutrition Service

*Respond to telephone/written/electronic/personal enquires from patients and stakeholders, maintaining own knowledge of service is sufficient to answer or re-direct these enquiries effectively.

*Compile, manage and co-ordinate daily secretarial tasks.

*Manage Trust e-rostering system on behalf of the team

*To support the Team Lead in the planning and management of meetings and events specifically collation of documentation, distribution of reminders and follow-ups. Will be required to take minutes at meetings.

*Undertake general admin support and work collaboratively with other team administrators and clinical staff.

*Provide a good customer service experience for all patients at all times.
