Apprentice Ulysses Systems Support

Job summary
We are looking for an apprentice to join the team, to support across Ulysses Risk Management System and Incident and Serious Incident Team. The successful candidate will be expected and complete the Business Administration NVQ (Level 2/3 depending on experience). This will be a fully funded post with 20% of the working week undertaking NVQ supported studies. The other 80% of the week you will be supporting delivery of the Ulysses Risk Management System Modules, for which training will be given.
The team have supported five apprentices to complete their training and NVQ qualifications in the past couple of years enabling them to go on to find careers in administration or systems support.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of this role include:
*Maintaining the Ulysses System
*To support development of the system in liaison with the Ulysses System Developer and Ulysses Systems Support Officer to meet changing Trust needs
*Providing a help desk and triaging facility for the Ulysses System

Complaints Module
Inquest and Claims Module
Safeguarding
Freedom to Speak Up
Records Management
*Undertake proactive Ulysses system maintenance, including maintaining staff and patient databases to remove duplicates and errors. Updating department structures on Ulysses in line with organisational changes.
*Producing regular scheduled reports for all modules on the system.
*Support the delivery of the incident management and review systems.
The main skills required for this role are:
*IT skills - would be required to use Microsoft Office - in particular Word to support serious incident panels and Excel to track documents.
*Attention to detail and focus in order to check quality and content of information reported onto the Ulysses Risk Management System, escalating issues as appropriate.
*Excellent communication skills (face to face and by telephone) with staff from all levels of the Trust, able to explain technical concepts to staff of all levels and understanding, with strong influencing skills.
*Excellent time management and organisational skills related working for the incident and risk team who all have different and competing requirements.
