Job summary
We have a really exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Non-Medical Consultant in our Adult Mental Health Team at Elmleigh or Community Mental Health Team at the Parkway Centre.
This is a brand new role in the Trust for a Consultant Nurse or Consultant Practitioner and is designed to remain mostly clinical recognising your specialist skills and experiences. This role will be key in helping us shape and transform our workforce design. You will already be a Consultant Practitioner with non-medical prescribing qualifications. RC status is ideal, however training can be provided for the right candidate.

Main duties of the job
You will be a core part of the medical team and delivering high level specialist direct clinical and contact with patients, looking at their whole journey through care, for at least 70% of your time, this will include management of patients to incorporate psychiatric, physiological, and pharmacological considerations and make multifaceted complex clinical decisions regarding patient management including discharging patients from the service when treatment is complete/optimum outcome is achieved. 30 % of the time will be related to the other pillars of advanced practice, education, research and leadership/management of advanced practice, as determined by your job plan.
You will be provided with mentorship from the medical team and consultant Nurse/AHP in Advanced Practice and, if required, you will be supported to become credentialed. Day to day you will be manged by the Clinical/Medical Director but you will still receive in profession supervision and training from your qualified profession .
