Job summary

Rowan Ward is a 21 bedded unit providing rehabilitation for Older People and step-up services for over 18s from our local community. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, dynamic, compassionate, and dedicated AHP to join our team, with at least 2 years previous band 6 leadership experience.

Main duties of the job

They will provide effective leadership and management to staff which promotes high performance standards both individually and as a team, in the achievement of the Trust's objectives and priorities. The Trust's success will be dependent on all managers playing an active role to make sure the existing areas of good employment practice are universally embedded within the organisation.

*Secure and assure the highest standards of clinical care by providing leadership to the professional and direct care staff within the community hospital for which they are accountable.

*Responsible for the day-to-day operational Management of the ward with support from the Lead Advanced Clinical Practitioner.

*Provide a visible, accessible, and authoritative presence in the ward setting to which patients and their families can turn for assistance, advice and support.

*To have 24-hour accountability for management and of the service and to co-ordinate and implement national and local changes.

*Liaise with Administrative and Support Services Manager to ensure administrative and support services are delivered to achieve the highest standards of care within the hospital for which they are accountable.

*Responsible for all aspects of the ward including Infection prevention and control, cleanliness, organisation, culture and environment.
