An exciting opportunity has arisen within Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust to appoint inspirational and enthusiastic Community Nursery Nurses to join our Health Visiting Teams. We are looking for a motivated professional with excellent communication skills who has the ability to work independently and as part of a corporate skill mixed team delivering the Healthy Child Programme (HCHC, 2009) using a public health approach.

As a team player, you will work under the leadership and supervision of the Health Visitors. Your role will require excellent assessment skills, partnership working and a strong commitment towards achieving the outcomes of 'Every Child Matters'. You will be expected to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all aspects of safeguarding children whilst being supported by robust organisational supervision, guidelines, and policies.

There may also be instances whereby the candidate will be required to work out of other local offices to meet the demands of the service.

Main duties of the job

The primary role of the Community Nursery Nurse is to deliver elements of the Healthy Child Programme including the 6 High Impact Areas as delegated by Health Visitors. The Community Nursery Nurse should ensure the quality of service delivery to children, young people and their families is aligned with the commissioned requirements of the Healthy Child Programme 0-19yrs and the Trust vision and values. This includes working in partnership with internal and external colleagues and partners.
