Job summary
An opportunity has arisen within adult forensic services to appoint a motivated, passionate and inspirational leader into the Band 7 Clinical Ward Manager Post on Starling ward, which is a 17 bedded female ward. Southfield provides low-secure mental health inpatient care for patients detained under the mental health act. Some patients admitted to Southfield service may have a forensic history or offending behaviour and can be subject to home office restrictions. You will take lead responsibility to assess and make nursing recommendations to the Responsible Medical Officer on the suitability of Service Users for admission to the Unit and formulate policy relevant to your sphere of influence.
You will carry continuing responsibility for the management of the total resource within your area and you will have direct clinical involvement with the defined speciality of forensic mental health nursing.
