Multi-Skilled Building Craftsman, Engineering Department

The Facilities Department at Ormskirk District Hospital are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Multi-Skilled Building Craftsman to provide joinery and woodworking maintenance services to properties maintained by the Trust.

The post holder will be expected to carry out maintenance requests in an efficient and effective manner to support successful delivery of a customer focused estate maintenance service for the Trust. In addition will be required to perform routine duties which may be delegated by the maintenance team leader with the minimum of supervision and have a flexible and positive approach to the role.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be able to carry out joinery duties and repairs to all Trust properties including general building work and some joinery manufacture as well as participation in the planned preventative maintenance scheme.

Previous experience in a maintenance environment is essential.

The successful applicant must hold a current driving license and be flexible with working hours.
