An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Urology team at Southport & Ormskirk hospital.
We are looking for a dynamic Nurse Associate with a passion for delivering outstanding care. The post holder will work under the close guidance of a team of urology nurse specialists.
Full training will be provided via the Urology Nurse Specialists and opportunities for development will be made available to you should you wish to advance your career in the NHS.
This permanent full time Monday-Friday role will involve autonomous working and nurse-led clinics, such as trial without catheter clinics, prostate biopsy clinics, patient self catheterisation training.

Main duties of the job
1. Work under the supervision of registered nurses, implementing developed care plans for a designated group of patients, working within the scope of the NMC Standards of Proficiency for Nursing Associates and the NMC Code2. Contributes to ensuring the health, wellbeing and independence of patients and service users across healthcare settings, maintaining associated records, ensuring all patients receive safe and effective care at all times3. Carry out clinical duties including management and administration of medications, clinical observations and implementation of developed care programmes
4. Supervision of healthcare support workers and all learners.5. Understand and demonstrate the Trust values at all times

Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust provides healthcare in hospital and the community to 258,000 people across Southport, Formby and West Lancashire.
Acute care is provided at Southport and Formby District General Hospital and Ormskirk District General Hospital. This includes adults' and children's accident and emergency services, intensive care and a range of medical and surgical specialities. Women's and children's services, including maternity, are provided at Ormskirk hospital.
The North West Regional Spinal Injuries Centre at Southport hospital provides specialist care for spinal patients from across the North West, North Wales and the Isle of Man.
The Trust also provides sexual health services for the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton.
