Job summary
The purpose of the Lead Practitioner for Digital Technology role is to be the clinical lead responsible for providing the link between Informatics Department and Southport & Ormskirk NHS Trusts Clinicians at all levels to deliver a wide range of clinical systems such as Careflow, EPMA and Connect
The role will also play a key role for the prospective replacement of all paper across the organisation with electronic systems.
The role will be undertaken by an experienced practitioner who will lead the stakeholder engagement, communications and training required by the clinical teams to ensure that systems are adopted, implemented in a timely manner and that benefits are achieved, and patient outcomes are improved.
Main duties of the job
To be the link between IT and the Wider Trust, ensuring effective communication between Informatics and Clinical subject matter experts.
To engage Trust clinicians at all levels and ensure implementation of the IT projects and to be a point of contact for system-related problems
To be visible, supportive, and responsive to resolve any queries.
Lead on the pilot implementations of clinical systems, and subsequent rollout across all specialties working closely with the clinical leads.
To champion the timely updates of the system across the Hospital, such as real-time Admissions- Discharges and Transfers (ADT) so that patients appear on the correct ward lists
Lead on the implementation of complex clinical systems and their subsequent rollout across the Trust working closely with the operational clinical leads in all care settings.
