Senior Sister/ Charge Nurse Emergency Department

Due to a very exciting nurse staffing review, we have been able to create an additional four Band 7 nurse posts.
We are looking for experienced enthusiastic and motivational leaders with the right clinical expertise to support the Matron and Lead Nurse to ensure that high quality, safe patient focused care is delivered and strived for.

Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity for Senior Registered Nurses who are looking for a chance to progress and develop into a Senior Nurse role. You will have been recognised through the PDR process as aspiring to ward /unit manager level, have proven leadership and management skills, be passionate in the delivery of holistic care with a high level of clinical skills and expertise
This post will be based on the Southport site and within the Medicine and Emergency Care Business Unit, based within Emergency Unit.
About us
Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust provides healthcare in hospital and the community to 258,000 people across Southport, Formby and West Lancashire.
Acute care is provided at Southport and Formby District General Hospital and Ormskirk District General Hospital. This includes adults' and children's Emergency services, intensive care and a range of medical and surgical specialities. Women's and children's services, including maternity, are provided at Ormskirk hospital
The North West Regional Spinal Injuries Centre at Southport hospital provides specialist care for spinal patients from across the North West, North Wales and the Isle of Man.
The Trust also provides sexual health services for the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton.
