Job summary
An opportunity has arisen to join our Cancer Services team as a Cancer Pathways Navigator.
The vacancies would be initially for anyone with a interest in complex and robust reporting that is required to support cancer pathways.
The successful candidates would support the other tumour specific Coordinators and use their individual knowledge of systems and processes to help ensure patients with complex and unyielding pathways are supported and navigated through diagnosis and treatment.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicants would ideally have previous experience of working within Cancer Services, and a working understanding of local software used within the process of patients pathways.
The applicants will be required to have good level of communication skills and a clear ability to work on their own initiative with a good understanding of escalation and reporting mechanisms. Furthermore the applicant would be expected to continue to support the wider Cancer Services team with data collection and robust data reporting.

Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust provides healthcare in hospital and the community to 258,000 people across Southport, Formby and West Lancashire.
Acute care is provided at Southport and Formby District General Hospital and Ormskirk and District General Hospital. This includes adults' and children's accident and emergency services, intensive care and a range of medical and surgical specialities. Women's and children's services, including maternity, are provided at Ormskirk hospital.
The North West Regional Spinal Injuries Centre at Southport hospital provides specialist care for spinal patients from across the North West, North Wales and the Isle of Man.
The Trust also provides sexual health services for the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton.
