Job summary

We are recruiting to the position of Head of Nursing for Urgent Care at Southport & Ormskirk NHS Trust. We are looking for a talented and highly motivated individual with a proven track record of managing and influencing at a senior level, who wants to make a real difference to our patients and staff, to join our team.

We are seeking an inspirational leader who is confident, dynamic, visible and has significant experience working at a strategic senior level in healthcare.

The successful candidate must be a role model demonstrating the Trust values, who will be able to lead clinically and strategically to ensure the delivery of the best possible care to our particularly elderly population throughout the directorates of the clinical business unit.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will join the senior leadership team alongside the Associate Director of Operations and the Associate Medical Director, and will form part of senior on-call management rota. They will provide senior clinical support, operationally managing the Urgent Care Matron Team and working closely with the emergency care, general medicine and specialty medicine directorates.
