Job summary

We are looking for a talented and highly motivated individual who wants to make a real difference to our patients and staff, to join our team at Southport & Ormskirk NHS Trust as an Urgent Care Matron.

We are seeking an inspirational, influential leader who is confident, dynamic, visible and has significant experience working at a senior level in healthcare.

The successful candidate must be a role model demonstrating the Trust values, who will be able to lead clinically and strategically to ensure the delivery of the best possible care to our particularly elderly population.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will join the team of Matrons and will form part of the late and weekend matron rota, providing senior clinical support to the site and working closely with the on-call managers, clinical coordinators and on-site teams. About us

This role presents the opportunity to join the senior team in urgent care, who are committed to continuously improving, adapting and trialling new innovative workforce and clinical models, to deliver a positive environment in which our staff can flourish and fundamentally to ensure excellent patient experience and outstanding care. The individual will work predominantly in medicine, joining the clinical director and directorate manager to lead the directorate and must therefore have extensive experience in quality improvement and governance, and will be expected to embrace and fulfil the modern matron roles and responsibilities.
