Job summary
North East CMHT for older people services into North and East of York Locality, over 65 population is approximately around 25000. The team receives about 432 referrals each year. The CMHT provides Monday Friday 9am - 5pm assessment and treatment services which include the provision of care for older people with functional mental health problems as well as complex organic care for patients in their own homes.
This is full-time post. The Consultant will provide input working to 7.5 direct clinical care (7.5DCC) and 2.5 supporting professional activities (2.5 SPA) work programme for the East team.
The post is based at the Huntington House, Jockey Lane, York YO32 9XW where CMHT is based too. The Consultant has a designated office space and secretarial support 0.4 and periodic Foundation Year Trainee placement. This post holder will provide clinical and educational supervision to any junior doctor posted with them.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for providing a community based psychiatric service to older people in the North-East Community Hub, working in and providing clinical leadership to the West older peoples team (7.5 PAs- DCC & 2.5 PAs- SPA).
Working to provide clinical leadership to the East older peoples team and overall responsibility for the medical aspects of care of patients in that sector (7.5PA)
