advertise this consultant psychiatrist in rehabilitation services at Lustrum Vale, Stockton. This post is full-time but we would welcome conversations with
potential applicants regarding flexible working options. It is a post which
offers variety, clinical challenge and strong team working. Successful
applicants would join a motivated, experienced and supportive
multi-disciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
This is a
replacement post. The post holder will act as Responsible Clinician for
Inpatients on Lustrum Vale. They will also be the medical RC for patients under
a non-medic AC/RC.
The post
holder will provide committed, proactive and responsible leadership working
with the Inpatient and Community Multi-Disciplinary Teams.
The post
holder will attend the 24 hour Morning Report Out meeting when key decisions
are made about patient care and the management plan, risk and leave
arrangements are reviewed. The post
holder will attend and fully contribute to the formulation meetings, CPA
reviews and discharge planning meetings.
The post
holder will be responsible for undertaking Mental Health Act assessments and
attending MH Tribunals/Hearings for patients on the Inpatient wards. The consultant retains the section 58
responsibilities for the inpatients.
The post
holder will be expected to provide appropriate supervision to Junior Medical
Staff.
The post
holder will be expected to liaise with community teams and Consultants, and
specialist services within the Trust as is clinically appropriate.
