An exciting opportunity has arisen for a conscientious and supportive administrator to join our busy and dedicated team based on Tunstall Ward.

As the Ward Team Administrator, you will work in an office at the centre of a ward with another admin colleague. The office is an area of high activity, and no two days are the same. You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role. Please note, this role does not meet the required eligibility criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa and therefore the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this particular role.

Main duties of the job

Whilst having previous experience in an administrative role is essential, NHS or other health care experience is not. We are first and foremost looking for individuals with a passion for people, customer service experience, an interest in working in a health care setting and a 'can do' attitude.

The Ward Team Administrator role is pivotal in the day-to-day operations of the ward teams. As part of this role, you will work closely with the Nursing team, Consultants, Medics and the wider older adult's inpatient team to provide the best possible care to the service user(s).

We are looking for someone who is able to multitask in a busy environment, communicate confidently, prioritise their workload, meet deadlines and build strong working relationships with a variety of people

About us

This position has a starting salary of £24,937 which rises to £26,598 pro rata, per annum after 2 years and a generous NHS pension scheme.   • Level 3 Qualification in relevant field or equivalent experience or willingness to work towards Level 3 in Business Administration.
  • Key skills/functional skills in literacy and numeracy Level 2 OR O Level (Grade C and above/New GCSE in Maths and English (Grade 4 to 9) are an essential requirement to be fully competent in the role.
