Community Support workers interested in physical health are invited to apply for this great opportunity to join the North Yorkshire Eating Disorder service based in Harrogate Hambleton and Richmond. The base for this post is currently located at North Moor House with the potential to be flexible dependent on the post holder's address.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a passion for working in the community with people with eating disorders.

The successful candidate must have completed the Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2 or equivalent. Candidates must also have Literacy and Numeracy level 2 or equivalent and must complete the Trust Healthcare Assistant competencies within their probationary period (first 6 months in role).

You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role. Please note, this role does not meet the required eligibility criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa and therefore the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this particular role.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will work as part of a team to deliver high quality care to those with an eating disorder and their families. Main duties of the role will include monitoring of physical health such as undertaking weight, height, BMI, blood pressure, temperature, ECG and phlebotomy. This will be both in a clinic setting as well as visiting patients in their homes, therefore will require their own means of transport.

The successful candidate will also support other areas of the eating disorder pathway as this is evolving.
