Job summary

Band 5-6 developmental post: Nursing, Allied Health, Social Work. Starting salary will be AFC B5, transferring to a Band 6 subject to completion of the competency framework.

Due to internal promotions and development, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Care Co-Ordinator to join the Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale Early Intervention in Psychosis Team, as a band 5.

All staff recruited into a developmental post will be required to complete the preceptorship programme (which is AHP, social work and nursing inclusive) and have a minimum term of 18 months in a post completing this framework for sign off to progress through the gateway for an AFC band uplift.

Working as part of an experienced and committed multi-disciplinary team, you will act as CPA coordinator or lead professional for people aged 14-65 experiencing a first episode psychosis or who are at high risk of developing psychosis in the future (at risk mental states). The successful applicant will have sound risk assessment skills and an awareness of the CPA process. Experience of working in the community is desirable but not essential.

You will receive individual and group clinical supervision, as well as regular line management supervision and personal and professional development through the appraisal process.

To promote social inclusion, community access and participation through the provision of patient care.

To facilitate others in the team to develop competence by providing leadership, day to day supervision, clinical advice and clinical supervision to associate practitioners, community support workers and students as appropriate.

To be committed to and involved in activities integral to the Trust's Quality Improvement System.

To promote at all times a positive image of people with mental ill health.

To promote at all times a positive image of the Adult Mental Health Service and the wider Trust.
