Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 3 STR Worker to work with adults experiencing ill mental health within the Teesside area. The post requires the successful candidates to work flexibly across the acute and AMH inpatient services at Roseberry Park Hospital.
You will be expected to demonstrate knowledge of issues relating to Transforming Care Agenda, risk assessment, positive behaviour support and physical and mental well-being.
Working within a person centered values based andsupporting the nursing team inidentifying strategies and plans for future care, maximisingindividual's strengths and minimising the impact of their needs on their daily lives.
You will need excellent communication skills and be calm, confident and resilient in your approach. You will need to be able to form therapeutic relationships with people with mental health needs. You will be joining a team of highly skilled and committed individuals and will become part of the Multi-disciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
To improve the lives of people with mental ill health by minimising the impact of their condition through the delivery of excellent services to promote recovery and well being.
The successful candidate must have completed the Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 2 or equivalent. Candidates must also have Literacy and Numeracy level 2 or equivalent and must complete the Trust Healthcare Assistant competencies within their probationary period (first 6 months in role).
The successful candidates who do not have the required qualifications will be expected to enrol on the Healthcare Assistant Framework which will include the acquisition of the level 2 Diploma Health and Social Care, level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy or equivalent and achievement of competencies. You will have a maximum of 2 years to complete this.
