Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who would like to be focused on NHS Digital and Data contracts, with a large focus on procurement and renewals, although the role will cover all aspects of contract management.

We are looking for a candidate who has a background in one or more of the following areas: Procurement and/or Contract Management.

Experience of Digital Services would also be beneficial

The post holder will be responsible for various stages of the contracts from procurement and award through to the end of the contract, and provide support to the Trust's Digital Service managers.

The ideal candidate will have sound organisational skill, excellent written and verbal communication, an eye for details and can hit the ground running.

The post supports hybrid working with 2 days in the office, the post can be based at either be Lanchester Road Hospital, Durham, DH1 5RD or Flatts Lane Centre, Normanby, TS6 0SZ

Main duties of the job

The Main Duties for this role are:

  • Identifying and providing advice on procurement routes
  • Leading/assisting on procurement's/Tenders/Renewals (depending on value and complexity)
  • Assisting in drafting up/reviewing specifications, ensuring they contain all relevant areas related to Digital and Data contracts and ensuring appropriate stakeholder input.
  • Assist in drafting/reviewing of contracts and associated documents
  • Involved in supplier meetings
  • Dealing with contractual queries
  • Producing reports on contracts and awards
  • Monitoring, forecasting, and reporting on contract values
  • Develop and manage relationships with a range of stakeholders both internal and external
  • Maintaining the contract register

About us

The Digital and Data Contracts Team sits within the Digital and Data Department, which is responsible for all the Trust's Digital and Data requirements, covering information reporting, Technical infrastructure, system management, Information Governance and Security.

The contracts team plays an important role in overseeing and procuring a wide range of Digital and Data contracts.
