Job summary

An exciting opportunity for a full time substantive Qualified Nursing Associate within the CAMHS North Yorkshire and York Eating Disorder Team based at Orca House in York and Dragon Parade Clinic in Harrogate.

The successful candidate will be a key member of our eating disorder home treatment team that covers the North Yorkshire and York area. They will be responsible for delivering physical health monitoringand therapeutic support for a group of service users under the support of the Eating Disorder team. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will take on a lead role for offering assessment/ support and signposting for carers of those individuals accessing treatment from the service.

Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be responsible for a number of areas within the eating disorder team. This may include: facilitating clinical supervision, leading consultations, undertaking physical health observations, providing training to internal/external services and offering therapeutic meal support to young people and their families.

It is also anticipated that they will take responsibility of being the physical health champion for the North Yorkshire and York CAMHS area.

Other main duties will include supporting the wider eating disorder service in areas such as assessment and intervention as service need requires.

The successful applicant will need to have a foundation degree in Nursing Associate and be registered as a nursing associate on the NMC register. Literacy and Numeracy Level 2 or equivalent is required to be recruited in to the position on Band 4.
