Job summary
An opportunity has arisen to recruit an experienced and highly motivated Team Administrator within mental health services for older people. Our team manage caseloads of both organic (dementia pathway) and functional patients and you would work to support both parts of the team. This is a permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week. Our opening times are between 9 - 5pm Monday to Friday.
Main duties of the job
Applications are invited from individuals who work accurately under pressure, can be flexible and is a good team member in addition to being suitably qualified for the post of Band 3 Team Administrator.
As part of the community team, the successful applicant will provide a comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to all members of the multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will first point of contact for service users, family and carers, responding to a range ofenquiries or concerns over the telephone., in addition to dealing with enquiries to the community team, from GPs and other professionals,taking action where necessary and ensuring messages are communicatedaccurately to relevant personnel and in an appropriate and timely manner.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written coupled with proven secretarial skills and previous experience is essential.
The successful candidates must also have the ability to be organised, efficient and have the capacity to prioritise their workload whilst dealing sensitively with issues and maintaining confidential information.
