An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Education Placements Administrator, this post would be based at Roseberry Park Hospital in Middlesbrough but would be required to travel to other sites across the Trust. The successful applicants will be able to use your proven administrative and organisational skills to support the work of the Medical Education Team in providing high quality clinical placements.

As Medical Education Placements Administrator you will be expected to promote, co-ordinate and support the delivery of Student Selected Component placements within psychiatry, elective placements for medical students, foundation taster experiences, work experience placements, TCAPP placements, Physician Associate student placements and clinical attachments.

You will provide support to the Medical Education Officer, Medical Education Manager, Nurse Leads and members of the Medical Development team and Medical Education Faculty as and when required.

Main duties of the job

  • Possess a knowledge of all the relevant administrative procedures, plus knowledge of how to deal with a range of non-routine activities in relation to bespoke ad-hoc placements.
  • Problem solving as well as answering queries and progress chasing will be a significant part of the role.
  • Using advanced keyboard skills provide a comprehensive and effective word processing service for all correspondence, including letters, memos and minutes.

  • To liaise with medical schools to obtain relevant programme dates required to prepare and plan for the SSC and Elective placements.
  • Liaises closely with Medical Education Manager, Nurse Leads and clinical areas to create all necessary timetables for bespoke placements ensuring where necessary that all curriculum competencies can be archived within the placement.
