Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for clinicians to be a part of developing a new police partnership and mental health triage model working with North Yorkshire Police.
The team has developed from street triage, and will now be based only within the police communications centre. In this role you will work closely with police colleagues in the force control room, providing information and advice to support police decision making; and carrying out mental health telephone triage calls with people presenting to the police.
Main duties of the job
As a member of the team, you will network and develop relationships with police, urgent care and community services, to provide direction and the right care / support that is needed for individuals within North Yorkshire.
You need to be a creative, motivated and passionate person, who wants to improve effective working with other partnerships ensuring individuals receive the right care / support at the right time.
We are a small and friendly team, based within the police force control communications centre - we love this role, and we want good colleagues to join us, and help develop our new working processes and team.
Candidates must have 18 months post qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework
Our shift pattern is 10:30 until 23:00.
Nursing applicants should already hold NMC registration. Please note: Newly qualified Nurses or those due to qualify will be recruited via a separate process.

- MIP, FLIP, ENB 998 Teaching & Assessing in Clinical Practice or City & Guilds 730 Teaching in Adult Education
- Recognised sign-off mentor (or equivalent) or must be achieved within agreed timescale
- Key skills in literacy, numeracy and ITQ level 2 (or equivalent)
