A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated B7 Clinical Psychologist to join the Child and Adolescent Mental Health service in York. As a good partner service based within York, we have identified the need to grow our provision and are seeking the right person to be part of this journey of growth.
The post holder will provide assessment and intervention as part of our Neurodevelopment Assessment Pathways within York. The team operate out of our new building at Orca House, We can consider hybrid working patterns (from home and clinical bases) in line with our smarter working policy.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established community team supporting young people and families with mental health and in assessing individuals for possible Neurodiversity. We invite applications from suitably qualified Clinical Psychologists. The successful candidate will be registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council.
Main duties of the job
The team includes clinical psychologists, family therapists, nurses, psychiatrists, occupational therapists and social workers. Therefore, the ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team is a requirement.
The post holder will provide evidence based assessment and treatment interventions as part of the clinical pathways. They will offer direct input to individuals, their families and carers in a clinic setting. The successful candidate will also provide supervision and support trainee psychologists throughout placement.
You will be expected to have the necessary skills and experience to undertake direct clinical work with children and families, offer clinical supervision and consultation, contribute to service evaluation, as well as manage the demands of service development and change. Candidates should be skilled psychological professionals with excellent interdisciplinary working skills and interested in contributing to the development of an innovative service.
