Newly Qualified Nurses - We need you!
Durham, Tees Valley and Forensic (DTVF) Care Group are seeking compassionate and commitment newly qualified nurses to join us.
We are now welcoming applications from student nurses in their 3rd year of training within 6 months of qualifying.

Successful candidates will be enrolled into our Newly Qualified Nurse structured 12 months Preceptorship Program, with regular study days, mentoring, and support in practice.
We will offer:
- Guaranteed interviews for every qualified nurse (including those who are just about to qualify)
- Full constructive feedback to everyone interviewed
- All successful applicants will be offered a permanent position with the Trust
- Newly qualified nurse supportive preceptorship arrangements
- Successful students will be given an individual development programme providing bespoke support in their first two years of employment with the Trust.
Main duties of the job
Mental Health Services for Older People
Mental Health for Older People have opportunities which include our acute inpatient based at Durham, Darlington and Middlesbrough, who are committed to improving the lives of service users. We also provide a range of community-based services.
Adult Mental Health
There are opportunities within Adult Mental Health across Durham, Darlington and Middlesbrough.
Adult Learning Disabilities
Adult Learning Disability services have opportunities with the inpatient setting at Bankfields Court, and in community teams. The service is leading the way in person centred care with a clear focus on reducing restrictions.
Children's and Young People Service
Children and Young People Services, you will work with a range of children and young people, to give them the skills needed. We aim to uphold high standards and follow NICE guidance in all interventions around mental health treatments including crisis interventions and eating disorders and assessing for neurodevelopmental conditions.
Health & Justice
Health & Justice provide assessment and care to those in the criminal justice system working across a variety of settings including prisons, local police stations and community teams.
Secure Inpatient Services
Secure Inpatient Services have opportunities for those with a passion for providing care in secure settings. With a wide range of clinically focused pathways across several inpatient wards.
Whatever your preference we will support you through your preceptorship programme, providing a mentor to guide your learning with their knowledge and experience.
