Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Senior Children's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) to cover maternity leave in our Think Together Team, within the CAMHS Single Point of Access Team.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work within the Think Together Team within the CAMHS Single point of access team.

Working as a part of a multi-disciplinary team and liaising closely with other agencies you will support the Single Point of Access in ensuring young people are accessing the right service at the right time, this will include providing support and training to outside agencies, conducting telephone assessments with young people and families and supporting the team to develop positive relationships between agencies and providing brief low level interventions.

The post holder will hold a CWP supervisors qualification to enable to continue with the positive support and supervision offered to the team.

Qualifications/Experience

Essential

  • Successfully completed British Psychological Society (BPS) Accredited or Higher Education England (HEE) Approved academic course of study in line with the CYP IAPT Low Intensity National Programme and will be qualified as a Children's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP).
  • And - Professional registration as a Children's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) with an appropriate regulatory body (e.g. British Psychological Society (BPS) or British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP))
  • Completed, or currently be undertaking the CWP/EMHP supervisor (PG Certificate or CPD) or Senior Wellbeing Practitioner G/PG Diploma training programme, provided by one of the nationally commissioned training providers, which provides eligibility to supervise Trainee CWPs and qualified CWPs in line with their registration requirements
  • Substantial evidence of Continuing Professional Development as a CWP.

  • Significant post-qualification experience working with young people who are experiencing emotional distress impacting on their mental health.
  • Experience of delivering low intensity CBT interventions with children and young people
  • Providing clinical and caseload management supervision.
