Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to come and join North Tees EIP working in Hartlepool. We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic Mental Health Practitioner to join our Early intervention in psychosis team.

Within this role we will support you to expand on your knowledge and expertise with opportunity to develop your interest in our assessments and pathways when working with people with suspected psychosis.

The team works collaboratively with a range of partner agencies in order to meet the individual needs of the Hartlepool population who experience a suspected first episode psychosis.

You will be enthusiastic and highly motivated with experience in the delivery of high-quality planned care. You will be a valued member of the team and will develop excellent working relationships with our partners and stakeholders.

You can expect regular supervision and support from the collective leadership.

Main duties of the job

You must be willing to work collaboratively with service users aged 14- 65 years of as well as their carers and families .

You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You are required to have the ability and experience to manage complex cases in partnership with other agencies. In addition you will be offered training in the caarms assessment and the interventions required for the EIP pathways.

You are required to use your own initiative and make decisions independently for this post.

There is an expectation of commitment to the development of high quality care, and to engage in quality improvement activities. You will be supported with regular management and clinical supervision.

  • Current professional registration with an approved body
  • Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to post
  • For registered nurses: MIP, FLIP, ENB 998 Teaching & Assessing in Clinical Practice or City & Guilds 730 Teaching in Adult Education or willingness to work towards. Qualification must be achieved within agreed timescale.
  • Trained Clinical Supervisor (within agreed timescale).
  • Key skills in literacy, numeracy and ITQ level 2 (or equivalent)
