Job summary
An exciting opportunity for a part time (20 hours) Catering Assistant has become available at Kilton View day services in Brotton. The successful applicant will prepare and cook a range of meals for adults with learning disabilities and staff.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day running of a busy kitchen and meeting standards for food safety and hygiene. Prepare and cook hot meals for up to 13 service users with learning disabilities in line with dietician standards.
- Be responsible for the day to day running of a busy kitchen and meeting standards for food safety and hygiene.
- Attend relevant mandatory training alongside job description and adhere to trust values, policies and procedures.
- Complete weekly food ordering and stock rotation
- Communicate effectively with members of the team
- Effectively record fridge and freezer temperatures in line with legislation
successful applicant would need to have basic understanding of trust IT systems for ordering of equipment.
Although main base is Kilton View day services they maybe a need to provide support to other areas within the service, however full details of this will be given and travel expenses will be paid.
