Job summary
Darlington GPAligned Nurses work closely with the GP practice staff, their TEWV colleagues, other agencies and will be working especially close with the new Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) Workers.
The post holder will be an experienced mental health nurse, responsible for short-term treatment of patients referred to you in GP setting. Ideally you will have skills in delivery of the front end interventions to aid patients stay within a primary care setting. GPAligned Staff have access to a inhouse training provided by the Darington Gateway Team and Intervention Team which will help to develop your skills further.
As part of this role you will work one day a week within the Darlington Gateway Team, this will include triage, assessment and delivery of interventions.
You will have a minimum of 12 month post preceptorship experience as at Band 5 before applying for this post.
Main duties of the job
We have exciting opportunities for experienced Mental Health Nurses to join the team working within the primary care network and the Secondary services (Darlington Gateway) within Darlington.
Supervision, training and personal development are a key aspect of the post, along with regular supervision/appraisal which we see as an important aspect to the role.
