The Medical Development Team is responsible for developing strategies and practice for medical staff, delivering a range of people services in relation to the medical workforce and its optimum functioning. These services support strategic and operational objectives, promote recruitment and retention, improve staff engagement and comply with legislation.
This is a unique role to join our team and focus on OD related activities that support medical staff, whilst working collaboratively and collectively with our People & Culture colleagues. You will have autonomy to lead the development and evaluation of OD interventions and develop programmes to support the organisation achieve 'Our journey to change' strategy.
This role will allow you to develop great partnership working and to see the real difference you can make.As an experienced OD Practitioner you will have a proven record of influencing others, designing programmes of work, and facilitating to a wide audience across this diverse organisation.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a highly skilled, experienced, and motivated individual with a successful track record of researching, designing, facilitating and evaluating different OD interventions.
As a senior member of the directorate, you will role model our organisational values and behaviours and help bring our People Journey to life. Engaging Senior Medical Leaders, Managers and the whole medical workforce in a wide range of settings, you will use your skills and experience to recognise and define their needs, by researching, designing, delivering, and evaluating programmes to strengthen and build a culture of excellence.

The Medical Organisational Development Lead role is a re-developed role within the Medical Directorate, fundamentally supporting the medical workforce to meet its expectations in line with the Medical Pledge, whilst also supporting the Faculty of Medical Education deliver excellent placement opportunities for postgraduate doctors.
