Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Senior Children's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) in our newly established Getting Help Team in Durham and Darlington, within the Children and Young People's Service.

We are keen to hear from suitably qualified and experienced individuals who are motivated and focused on delivering high quality patient care.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work within the North Durham Children's community team supporting the CWP's and being a vital part of the development of Children's Wellbeing Practitioner role within the role. They will need to offer both clinical and caseload supervision, alongside delivering high-quality; brief outcome focused evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.

Working as a part of a multi-disciplinary team and liaising closely with other agencies you will assess, plan and implement care for children with mental health needs.

The post holder will be supported to attend continuing professional development sessions and link in with the university training programme for current and future CWP's.
