Job summary

We are keen to hear from applied psychologists with a passion for working with children and young people to join our CAMHS services in Teesside. With opportunities for full or part-time working, and flexibility to offer creative job planning, the successful candidate will work within our Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team, with the opportunity to undertake some work in our Getting More Help community CAMHS team if desired.

The post holder will work in a multi-disciplinary team to undertake specialist psychological assessment and formulation as part of the multi-agency diagnostic pathway for Autism. Contribution to service evaluation and development will also form part of the role. Candidates wishing to have some job planned time into the community CAMHS team will have the opportunity to offer specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention to young people and their families experiencing a wide range of difficulties. The post holder will receive regular supportive supervision and be supported to undertake further training / CPD.

The successful candidate will work closely with psychology colleagues based within the Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team but will also be linked into the wider psychology professions network across Durham Tees Valley CAMHS.

Main duties of the job

Experience of working with young people and families is important, as well as the ability to work effectively within the multi-disciplinary team and with our multi-agency partner organisations. Service development ideas and innovation in the role are encouraged and welcomed.
