Job summary
Want to work with children and young people?
Our Children's Wellbeing Practitioner's (CWP's) deliver a range of brief low intensity, evidenced based psychological therapies.
The post holder will work with children and young people (0-18years) with the principal objectives of providing assessment and intervention to children and young people who have mental health needs.
Working as a part of a multi-disciplinary team and liaising closely with other agencies you will assess, plan and implement care for children with mental health needs.
If you have excellent communication skills and are committed to providing a high quality, flexible service to children then we want to hear from you.
The post holder will be working into the South Tees Getting Help team working into the Middlesbrough and Redcar localities. The team is currently based at Evergreen, Acklam Road Hospital though this may change in the future.
We are keen to hear from suitably qualified and experienced individuals, however we also welcome applications from trainee CWP's who are due to qualify within the next 3 months.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work within the CAMHS team providing assessment and CBT based low intensity interventions to individuals and groups.The post holder will work with young people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary, and should be committed to equal opportunities.
