Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a permanent, full time, experienced Physiotherapist to join mental health service across the two Adult wards at Foss Park hospital- Ebor (female) and Minster (male).
The successful candidate will be an autonomous qualified physiotherapist providing assessment, treatment planning and provision for adults with mental health problems, who have complex physical and psychological needs.
Main duties of the job
You will be an autonomous qualified physiotherapist providing assessment, treatment planning and provision for people aged 18 - 65 years who have complex physical and psychological needs. You will be a member of a multidisciplinary inpatient team, working closely with other professions. You will be expected to work independently and will gain experience of service development, delegating tasks and working closely with a healthy living advisor.
You must have a recognised BSC or MSc in Physiotherapy and be HCPC registered.
Experience of working in Physiotherapy with service users with mental health is required. Experience of working with those with a learning disability would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will benefit from being part of a trust wide group of Physiotherapy staff working in TEWV, with guidance from Clinical Leads, Clinical Specialists and the Professional Head of Physiotherapy.
