An exciting opportunity has arisen for a kind, dedicated and conscientious administrator to join our busy and dedicated team based at name of Foss Park Hospital York.
Foss Park Hospital in York is an inpatient mental health facility providing services and delivering care to adults and older people in the York & Selby area.
This facility is situated on the on the outskirts of York City Centre just inside the ring road (north) ten minutes from Monks Cross Shopping Centre and benefits from free on-site parking and is easily accessed by car, bus and bicycle.
As a member of our Foss Park reception team, you will work in an inpatient dedicated reception area at the heart of the hospital.
The hospital is an area of high activity, and no two days are the same. If you are looking for a new challenge, enjoy variety in your work and are looking to be part of a team striving to make a difference, we will welcome your application for this role.
Working hours are Monday to Sunday 8am - 8pm, using a rota system.
Main duties of the job
Whilst having previous experience in an administrative role is essential, NHS or other health care experience is not. We are first and foremost looking for individuals with a passion for people, customer service experience, an interest in working in a health care setting and a 'can do' attitude.
This role is a starting step into understanding our organisation, the services we provide to our communities and the people who work for us and with us. Reception duties will include: greeting service users, carers, staff and visitors; answering queries via telephone and email; updating clinic lists; maintaining visitors logs; photocopying; issuing access cards; processing all incoming and outgoing post; ensuring that all information displayed in the reception area, for staff and visitors alike, is unobstructed and kept up to date.
