Job summary

The North Yorkshire IAPT service provides psychological therapies for people experiencing depression and anxiety in a primary care setting. The service has, over the past 10 years, developed an excellent reputation for training high quality High Intensity workers. As part of this ongoing commitment, we are looking to recruit a further 1 HIW trainees, across the service.

Successful candidates will be part of an IAPT team delivering CBT interventions for patients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression. This exciting opportunity includes the HIW Trainee participating in the Post Graduate Diploma in High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Training at Sheffield University . Please note that this course will be face to face delivery.

The service has a strong commitment towards Continuing Professional Development (CPD), staff wellbeing and providing quality services for patients.

This is a permanent post, moving to Band 7 subject to successful completion of the course.

Main duties of the job

  • A recorded/registered qualification in one of the following at graduate level in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, arts therapy or within a psychological therapy.
  • Evidence of meeting the Knowledge Skills and Attitude (KSA) requirements of BABCP

  • Experience working in a stepped care service for anxiety and depression
