The Estates Department is responsible for the repair, maintenance and management of all TEWV NHS Foundation properties.
The post holder will be time served and have a joinery background and will be responsible for the provision of building maintenance services.

The Estates Department is responsible for the repair, maintenance and management of all TEWV NHS Foundation properties.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Craftsperson (Joiner) to join our multi-disciplined Estates Team based at Lanchester Road Hospital, Durham.
The post holder will be time served and have a joinery background and will be responsible for the provision of building maintenance services.
Although primarily based at Lanchester Road Hospital, you may be required to work from other Trust sites for periods of time as the service dictates.

- City and Guilds Craft Certificate or NVQ3 or equivalent qualification
- Numeracy and Literacy to level 2
- ITQ Level 2
Desirable
- BTEC Level 3 ONC/HNC Certificate in Joinery
- City and Guilds Advanced Craft Certificate
- Multi-skilled building training
Experience
Essential
- Significant post apprenticeship experience in Joinery
Desirable
- Experience working in an NHS environment
- Experience in the management of Planned Preventitive Maintenance Systems
Knowledge
Essential
- Working knowledge of building systems within service industry
- Comprehensive knowledge of building maintenance and installation work
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation
- Working Knowledge of British Standards and ACOP's relevant to the trade
- Working knowledge of Fire Regulations and HTM05 specific to Fire Doors
