Job summary

Applications are being sought to join Tees, Esk & Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust, for a senior therapies clinician to contribute to the clinical and strategic development of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and Adult Learning Disability Services, across Durham and Tees Valley. This post is part time for 3 days a week, for 12 months to cover maternity leave of the current post holder. Applicants are invited from Psychological Professions, Allied Health Professions and Social Worker clinical backgrounds. The post holder will have 0.6 wte dedicated to clinical leadership. The post holder will understand and oversee the delivery of Therapy Services within Durham Tees Valley across CAMHS and Learning disability service areas. This covering role will work in partnership with the Director of Therapies, the Group Director of Therapies and Professional Heads within Durham Tees Valley care group and child and learning disability specialties across the trust.

Applicants can be on a secondment basis if agreed by the line manager.

Main duties of the job

The Associate Directors of Therapies work at a senior collective level of leadership within the organisation, with the purpose of being the nexus between specialism and local area. The post holder will work closely with the General Managers, Associate Director of Nursing and Associate Medical Directors Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and Adult Learning Disability services. Decision making is devolved and leadership is there to cultivate the talents of those within the Care Group, to optimise the quality of care and to ensure that the strategy of the Trust is delivered.

The post holder is responsible for supporting the Care Group Director of Therapies with the delivery of the trust strategy and the business plan, supporting service transformation and service delivery to achieve quality standards and embedding co-production with service users and carers.

  • Current registration with the HCPC or other regulatory body
  • Evidence of training within Management and Systems Leadership
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
