Job summary

TEWV NHS Foundation Trust are offering an exciting opportunity for an innovative and dynamic nurse to join our corporate nursing team. As the Trust's Lead Nurse for Physical Health, you will work closely with the Head of Infection, Prevention & Control (IPC) and Physical Health to support the strategic direction of the Trust in providing a high-quality service to patients and clinical teams on all physical health related matters.

The ideal candidate will be a credible expert in their field, having preferably worked in a clinical environment at an advanced level. You will be able to demonstrate evidence of leading and managing change whilst supporting evidence-based practice and be able to work independently and autonomously. Relevant experience working within a mental health and/or learning disability environment would be an advantage

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role involve collaborative working on the various physical health workstreams across the Trust and has line manager responsibility for the Trust's Resuscitation Officers, Tissue Viability & Physical Health Specialist Nurse, and the Severe Mental Illness (SMI) & Physical Health Specialist Nurses.

The successful candidate will support the development of a shared vision across services of how TEWV can embed and sustain excellent physical health care across all of its services.

  • Professional Nursing Qualification i.e. RGN, RMN or RNLD.
  • MSc or willingness to work towards in an agreed timescale
  • Relevant Post-basic clinical qualification(s) with a professional portfolio supporting the delivery of advanced practice in physical health care
  • Teaching qualification

Desirable

  • Management and Leadership Qualification
  • Master's Degree
  • Infection Prevention and Control qualification
