York and Selby Early Intervention for Psychosis Team is looking to recruit a Systemic Family Therapist. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding Psychological Professions group within the team.
The Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) Service in TEWV works to improve the detection of first episode of psychosis and to provide high quality, evidence- based interventions to facilitate recovery for individual experiencing first episode psychosis. The service works with people aged 14 -65 years.
The team is based in York covering the geographical area of York, Selby and surrounding areas. The service operates the working hours 9-5 Monday to Friday. This is a full-time position though part time hours may be considered.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will hold an RMN or equivalent mental health core qualification and current professional registration in addition they will have a MSc Systemic FamilyTherapy qualification that is Association of Family Therapy (AFT) Accredited.
Competencies in Family Interventions for Psychosis would be welcome but are not essential as further training is available. In the absence of these competencies a strong interest and commitment to undertake further training would be required.
The role will involve delivering and supervising Family Intervention to people aged 14-65 experiencing psychosis and co-occurring presentations. An enthusiasm for working with people with psychosis in a recovery orientated framework is essential.
