We are seeking an enthusiastic Psychologist (Band 7 preceptorship to 8a or 8a) to join our welcoming and supportive CMHT for older people. Could that be you?
The right candidate will be offered flexibility in working within a dynamic friendly team and the chance to develop and apply their Psychological knowledge and skills in varied duties that fit with their interests, aspirations and with service needs. As a new member staff, whether a newly qualified Psychologist or someone with some experience already, you will enjoy support to develop your role through access to regular appraisal, quality clinical and management supervision, and CPD.

Main duties of the job
The role involves completing risk and psychometric assessment, formulating highly complex presentations and the delivery of governed psychological interventions within a community setting.
Supervising other professionals to deliver lower-level interventions will be an essential aspect of this role and the post holder will become a key member of the leadership team and will influence psychological thinking. The post holder will also be able to promote and supporting team wellbeing and resilience.
The successful candidate would be expected to contribute to audit, service evaluation and research as part of service development, attending conferences, presenting, and disseminating best practice. The post offers excellent opportunities for peer support/ supervision, CPD, and teaching/ training opportunities within psychology and to other members of the MDT.
At the 8a level the role would extend to acting as supervisor taking trainees from the Hull and/or Leeds or Tees D.Clin Psychology Courses with whom we hold close academic connections.
