Job summary

This post will involve home working and working within a CAMHS base. This can be at either Harrogate, Northallerton or Scarborough dependent on which base best suits the successful candidate.

We are excited to advertise a band 7 Clinical Lead/Advanced Practitioner post in the North Yorkshire Single Point of Access Team. This is a new post and the successful candidate will work within the Single Point of Access Team at CAMHS and also the North Yorkshire MAST (Multi Agency Screening Team). The Single Point of Access Team is where all the new referrals for CAMHS are received. The successful candidate will attend multiagency meetings with the North Yorkshire MAST team on a daily basis, in order to support and safeguard young people and their families in our locality who experience mental health difficulties. The successful candidate will offer training and education to partner agencies, and support with supervision of staff as part of their role within the Single Point of Access Team.

Main duties of the job

We are keen to recruit an experienced Clinician to further develop our links with the North Yorkshire MAST team. The successful candidate will work alongside the SPA Team Manager and Spa Clinical Lead to develop and implement this newly created position. The successful candidate will be expected to attend daily meetings with the MAST team (this is currently done virtually). There will be an expectation that you attend monthly meetings at Northallerton County Hall, and that you work into a base as required by the Single Point of Access Team at either the Harrogate, Northallerton or Scarborough locations.

  • Be passionate about improving the access to mental health services and ensuring young people and their families are directed to the most suitable services for their needs.
  • Be passionate about continuing to improve links between CAMHS and the multi agency screening team.
  • Be a driven, enthusiastic and forward thinking leader.
  • Have a clear interest in the development of the MAST and CAMHS partnership.
  • Have extensive experience working in CAMHS services.
  • Have significant experience of working with clinicians to achieve service improvement.
  • Have a range of experience of leading projects or other clinically based initiatives which will have made a contribution to delivering innovative and high quality services to children and young people.
  • Hold a relevant Professional Registration (RMN, SW, OT )
