Job summary
The Tees Perinatal Mental Health Team has an opportunity for a 12 month secondment for a Highly Specialist Psychological Professional to cover maternity leave and to make a significant contribution to the delivery and development of psychological work in the service in order to meet the requirements of the Perinatal Long Term Plan.
Applicants must ensure that prior to applying they have agreement from their current line manager that they can be released on a secondment basis.
In the event that permanent funding is secured for this post the successful applicant will be confirmed in post on a permanent basis.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have significant experience of working psychologically with people who experience severe mental health problems including competencies in evidence based psychological therapy and experience in multi-disciplinary working.
You should also have experience and a passion for working with women and their families in the perinatal period.You will make a major contribution to the provision of specialist psychological assessment, formulation and psychological intervention through direct therapy and the supervision of psychological professionals and other clinical colleagues and will also be a member of the leadership team.
