Durham and Darlington CAMHS Getting Help Team has a new and exciting opportunity for a band 6 Nurse/Clinicianto join the newly developing team. The role will cover Durham and Darlington and will be based in Newton Aycliffe with the opportunity to hot desk in the other CAMHS bases.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve a range of duties such as offering telephone support to C&YP, families or carers, outreach work with external agencies and targeted work with other professional groups around what constitutes an appropriate referral into CAMHS. It will be county wide with a mixture of hot desking in the existing CAMHS bases and working from home.
The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, motivated and demonstrate a commitment to on-going personal and professional development, withexperience in assessments and delivery of care forchildren and young people within a community setting, andwill have access to high quality supervision within the team and work closely with other professionals in the multi-disciplinary team to provide care coordination responsibilities for a defined caseload.
The post requires good IT skills and the ability to work flexibly and autonomously as well as contributing to the MDT.
Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
