Come and work within the York Liaison Team who are the mental health link into the York Teaching Hospital emergency department and acute hospital wards.

The role involves contact with service users who may have complex health issues and well as complex mental health problems. A special interest in alcohol and substance misuse would be useful. You will experience working in a busy acute hospital in the emergency department and acute hospital wards and engage with lots of other professionals and 3rd sector services.
Main duties of the job
The team operates over 24 hours, 7 day a week.
This is a band 6 post open to registered mental health nurses, dual qualified nurses, learning disability nurses, occupational therapists and social workers with current relevant registration with the NMC, HPC and HCPC.
You will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team and there is ample opportunity to develop and enhance your existing clinical skills. You will receive regular supervision and there are good training opportunities.
As a member of the team you will provide a service to those individuals who present with complex mental health problems often combined with physical health issues. Whom require assessment and signposting to support . Applicants should be highly motivated, have the ability to act on own initiative and have sound risk assessment and written skills.
